What is Canezo?
Canezo is a Pakistani artisan food brand reviving traditional, single-origin gurr (jaggery) made the way it was meant to be — small-batch, chemical-free, and sourced directly from Sindhi sugarcane farms.
What products does Canezo sell?
Our core range includes Desi Gurr (traditional jaggery block), Desi Shakkar (granulated jaggery), and Gurr Bites (bite-sized jaggery snacks). Availability may vary by season.
What makes Canezo different from regular bazaar gurr/sugar?
Canezo is made from single-origin sugarcane, produced in small batches during the annual cane season (January–March), and clarified using natural agents rather than chemical whiteners. It's tested at PCSIR Laboratories.
Is Canezo certified for quality?
Yes. Our products are Lab tested and certified at PCSIR.
Ingredients & Health
Is Canezo gurr chemical-free?
Yes. We use a natural clarifying process, done by Organic OKRA (Bhindi stem) rather than industrial chemical bleaching agents used by many commercial sugar mills.
Is Canezo suitable for daily use as a sugar substitute?
Many customers use our gurr and shakkar as a natural alternative to refined white sugar in tea, cooking, and desserts. As with any sweetener, moderation is recommended — especially for individuals with diabetes or other health conditions, who should consult a doctor before making dietary changes.
Does Canezo contain any preservatives or additives?
No artificial preservatives are added. Gurr is a naturally preserved product when stored correctly (see storage tips below).
Is Canezo halal / vegetarian / vegan?
Yes, our gurr and shakkar are plant-based and free from animal-derived processing agents.
Sourcing & Production
Where does Canezo's sugarcane come from?
All our sugarcane is single-origin, sourced directly from farms in Punjab, Pakistan.
Why is Canezo only available seasonally / in limited batches?
Sugarcane is harvested and pressed once a year, typically between January and March. We produce in small batches during this window to preserve quality and freshness, which means stock can be limited at certain times of the year.
How is Canezo made?
Our gurr is made using traditional methods — cane juice is extracted, boiled down, and naturally clarified in small batches with Organic Okra, without the industrial refining and bleaching used by large sugar mills.
Storage & Shelf Life
How should I store Canezo products?
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, in an airtight container after opening.
How long does Canezo gurr last?
When stored properly in an airtight container, our gurr and shakkar can last several months. Refer to the best-before date printed on the packaging.
Why has my gurr gone soft/hard or changed color?
Gurr is a natural, minimally processed product, so slight variations in texture and color between batches are normal and not a quality defect. Softening can occur with humidity exposure — store in an airtight container to prevent this.

How long does delivery take?
Around 3-5 working days. As our deliveries are from Khanpur, which is a small city, so it takes a couple of extra days.
Do you offer international shipping?
No.

Yes, Canezo products are available through retail stores in Karachi, in addition to our online store.
